It's Not "Bad Behavior."
It's a Stress Response
You Can't Train Away.
Treats. Spray bottles. Yelling "down." Even a $200 trainer telling you to "stay calm" — like that's ever worked on a dog mid-panic. It might, for a day. It never lasts.
Separation anxiety and reactive barking come from the same place: a nervous system that's never learned it's safe. Training the behavior without calming what's underneath it is like turning down a smoke alarm instead of putting out the fire.
